Feeling any different? I hate to say it, but I think chemicals can play a large role. We are, after all, fundamentally bio-chemical machines. And it seems that December, possibly due to it's shorter daylight, is suspiciously popular for such ideas. (Other drugs have been known to provoke suicidality too.)

At present, I do not. I spoke with my therapist, and she is concerned and has me on suicide watch.

Regarding our humanly chemical natures, I agree. However, I abhor the prospect of surviving off of opiates or equivalents to sustain a reasonable level of indifference towards living. That seems .. meaningless.

Well, opiates may very well contribute to it, during the "lows" / withdrawal periods. Perhaps moving to California might help? (For example, suicide is quite a bit more common in Alaska than in California. And quite a bit more rare still in Brazil.)

Since I don't use at all, I experience no withdrawal periods.

I *could* move to compare how I react... However, I would still have to deal with the meaninglessness of life. I need to live with myself, and I can't rationally do that.

I think the first thing to come to terms with, is that everything is meaningless.

Than the rest becomes a choice.

If you analyse yourself, how much percent of you wants to die ?

Is it fixed, does it fluctuate alot ?

how long has it been constant ?
