It matters a lot. It's a very difficult thing to live with. I hate having to choose between pretty people and *slightly* less statism. (Surely you don't think Mississauga is some freedom-paradise, lol.)

I rationalized my decision to move here -- never the evilness of the place, or the evilness of statism. (As Chomsky does; as you do?) I fully acknowledge that it is difficult and somewhat dissonant to be living so close to such evilness.
