Contrary to long-held stereotypes, anarchists /are/ allowed to count words.

I am glad that you pointed that out.
I was referring to the disregard of rules. If one is to be consistent on all levels of behaviour, then accepting the imposition of any rules of enforcement should be abhorred by an anarchist.
Hence, the existence of a true and consistent anarchist - who applies the concept of anarchy to all aspects of life - is impossible. But I hardly doubt that anyone would disagree with this. It is absurd to imagine such a creature that would be consistent on all levels of action, thought and behaviour...

I suppose, technically, you're right. But, 99.9999..99% of the time "anarchy" is used with respect to politics and the abolition of "legalized" coercion. It is almost /never/ used with respect to ALL rules.
Saying that any rule (be it an internet protocol, or driving behaviour on highways) contradicts the anarchist spirit is REALLY stretching the definition.

Anarchy is primarily associated with politics, yes, but ask a group of philosophers [of which I am a part], and they will say it is ALSO a descriptive term. For example, in philosophy of science, an anarchist is commonly understood as one who abandons any formal formulation for the definition of science and scientific method (propounded first by Paul Feyerabend).

You'll also note the lack of enforcement here. And the fact that the festival was entirely voluntary. Trying to find something anti-anarchist here is pretty meaningless.

Consider yourself, you're a very inconsistent person.

It's consistent if you consider an anarchist a closet socialist.

...then why did we have a deadline to submit the story, and a limited amount of words per story? I thought you were an anarchist.

I am. I didn't force anyone to do anything. You people are /really/ confused about what anarchy and anarchists are.
