Anarchy is primarily associated with politics, yes, but ask a group of philosophers [of which I am a part], and they will say it is ALSO a descriptive term. For example, in philosophy of science, an anarchist is commonly understood as one who abandons any formal formulation for the definition of science and scientific method (propounded first by Paul Feyerabend).

Epistemological anarchism. It makes sense, now that I looked it up, albeit if one hopes to validate the bible by it (anything more than the most abstract concept of a "god"), good luck.
There are a million things you can apply the idea of "anarchy" to. It was very clear which one I was referring to. |

Hahah. That's a pretty despicable definition. I've also seriously heard it equated *directly* to violence. Obviously, defined so horribly, no reasonable person would approve of it.
But if AN ARCHOS, which literally and simply means NO GOVERNMENT no longer just means NO GOVERNMENT, what word shall we use? I really hate to admit it, but we have lost the battle for the word. It has been subverted, mangled, rendered meaningless. Henceforth, to avoid inevitable confusion, I am a Notaxorpoliceorpublicserviceslave. Let's see them subvert that word!
