I think I mainly used that as an opportunity to plug that youtube link -- it's a fascinating talk worth listening to.
Honestly, I think in the long term it's better if you don't sleep, and get worse grades, and drop out of school :D. I am pretty sure you'd learn more on your own.

you are using your judgement wrong. i haven't started school, during the summer it's fine. i can fall asleep in a little while. and i actually am listening to it. also, i am not dropping out of school, i am not stupid.

Why do you think it's stupid? I think when most people hear about this, they assume "dropping out" means not learning anything after. I mean the opposite, actually--taking full responsibility for your own learning-- which means first finding out what you're interested in (instead of just being given a list of topics by the government), and then finding your own resources (probably wikipedia to begin with :p... or school textbooks that you can pick up on your own or download from the net), and making your own schedule.

making my own schedule would be nice,.. but like i told you before, i wouldn't want people to think i am some rich twat, that isn't who i am. if i could drop out and have a personal tutor i would, honestly i would.
