I actually think this bending-for-the-enemy lends some legitimacy to their evilness. And it's insulting/humiliating for me. It's as if I was a Jew in Hitler's Germany, politely asking my SS masters to give me a little more freedom. What they (Dave et al) are doing is not just mildly annoying -- it's VERY wrong and evil. We have to acknowledge this -- the degree to which they are wrong. If I behave "politely" in the face of such oppression -- what does that say about me and my convictions?
