It sucks all the life from the land, and covers it in sterile unsustainable cancerous grey concrete.

It also makes New York City look like Etobicoke. It's almost exactly like those cities portrayed in dystopic futuristic sci fi stories--a solid wall of concrete skyscrapers as far as the eye can see. It's even visible from space as a dead grey cancer.
