Move to some

place that doesn't have taxes and stop your whinning.
Take some kind of action here or else where.

Dubai comes to mind but it's a fucked up place to begin with.   As a muslim city would be but I'd have to give them credit for making the city work somewhat.

Be happy you are in a situation where you have a right as an individual to do something about it unlike a lot of other people.

Moving away simply ignores the problem. It's like that saying about ignoring evil when it happens in a far away land, until one day, it reaches you. Tax havens, if they haven't already been demolished, will soon be, with US global hegemony.

The argument that, just because we aren't starving or have our wives wrapped in potato sacks we should be happy is also stupid. I, and nobody else, should be happy or satisfied living under oppression.

doesn't "ignore" the problem, it acknowledges it.

What you don't want to acknowledge is that the "evil" that you are referring to is not "evil" to everyone.   What is "bad/evil" is a matter of opinion.   i.e. there is no universal "bad/evil", and this, I KNOW, you agree with.

For those who are aware and content, it is not evil.
For those who are ignorant, leave them be.
For yourself, considering moving to a place where society agrees with your "beliefs" is worthwhile.

Well, to the extent that morality is simply personal imagination, sure, state coercion isn't "universally" evil. Nothing is.

But, in practical terms, I think stealing is "universally" accepted as wrong. And that is *precisely* what I am complaining about. The reason why everyone isn't outraged yet is due to extremely powerful social brainwashing, not to mention bribery. Not only does the state completely hide the problem with misleading "synonyms" and euphemisms, but they bribe those who would be most inclined to revolt (the poor).

I cannot "let them be", or "let the issue be". Stealing is wrong, period. It is especially bad, since what the money is being stolen for, I /strongly/ feel is the root of a lot of evils: state-education is the root of evil state-brainwashing which includes the whitewashing of history and the indoctrination of the need for the very existence of a state; the military is the root of all wars and other state aggressions which would not occur otherwise by small communities alone.

My point is that not all view it as "state coercion".   Many see it as a shared pool to strengthen community, and similar such nonsense.

Not true.   Again, there may possibly exist a genuine, educated bunch that just simply like how the government and general administration of our country works.

Stealing is wrong.   For those who do not consider themselves victims:
-if after being educated, then you can't do anything
-if not, then you have to let them first learn all perspectives before deciding that yours is "true"

No. If you ask any reasonable by dennisn on November 3rd, 2008 at 2:16PM.

the other point that I made that you are also in the situation that you can actively do something about it in this country.   Whether you like the political system or not it's to your disposal to change it and make it into one that you support that's if you are able to do so (support from others).

Now I don't see a terrible injustice unlike you.   You see it but yet are the one who is ignoring it by not doing anything about it expect whining about it on forums no one reads and repeating the same message to the same people who heard it from you countless times.

As I've stated before I would even support you even though I may not support your believes but on the simple principle that you are trying to change something.

Education is the most potent weapon. It's not like there are five simple procedures one can follow, after which the goal is achieved. The only way the problems I address can be resolved is if most people (ideally everyone) learns about them and agrees on the necessary steps. So, the best thing I can do is exactly what I'm doing--spreading the word. And, so far, I can't even get you to agree. So, clearly, my job isn't even done on this site.

It wouldn't be right for me to impose "my beliefs" on you--I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't accept your hollow support, just because "i'm trying"--that's ridiculous. Hitler put a great deal of personal time and effort and dedication into his cause.

And how on earth do you still not see a terrible injustice in having other people /force/ me to pay for things that I am /convinced/ are evil--militaries, statist brain-killing education systems, inefficient insurance plans etc??
