Yes, a gun may have other uses, but it was still designed to kill. Especially loaded, concealed ones. Like a handgun.
you're still stuck at 1001 other efficient at killing humans items. You can't get away from it.
The point is that the majority of those other items fall under the category of "things you can use to kill, but are designed to do other things" kind of items.
It is possible to kill with one swing, and it is also possible to not kill with one shot (and change your mind about a second shot).
The point was that if you swing a bat at me, I'm more likely to block/duck/take the hit and not die, than if you pointed a gun at me and pulled the trigger.
