... assuming both sides are thinking the same way, and are genuinely looking for a resolution. Otherwise, a resignation would be the same as a surrender.
On another note, Time magazine named the American soldier the http://www.time.com/time/.../2003/story.html Person of the Year. That is wrong on so many levels ...
