posted by dennisn on March 16th, 2004 at 2:00AM it is funny. but there is also a very serious side to the song (at the end) which, i fear, most people will casually overlook. 'like it really matters' no. of course grades, and tests, and exam repertoires do not matter. the song even says so. but does anyone really believe this? no. i am afraid most people don't. they may say they do. but they don't. because there is no well-defined alternative. so, go on - laugh at the cute lyrics - and ignore that last serious tidbit of truth. grades do matter. and there is no better way of showing that they matter, than by 'working hard for them'. cheers. |
