Fight Spam
posted by dennisn on February 15th, 2004 at 10:42PM

Argh i'm getting soooo sick of spam. I've been politely "unsubscribing" myself from those spams that provided that opt-out link, to no effect. So, out of frustration, i decided instead to drain the spammers bandwidth by repeatedly refreshing the contents of the evil website, and submitting email forms, etc, etc. Then i realized although i alone could annoy the server slightly, all of us together might be more effective =) .. so, in the noble fight against malicious spam, i'm posting offending spam sites here. Feel free (please) attack 'em ! - until spamming is no longer profitable.

Clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link in the emails they send you is just a way to confirm they have an active account to spam to. Most of the time, spam gets filtered into my junk email box but some still creep out into my regular inbox. Meh ... I hope it'll stop one of these days ...
