I'm gonna go with Dave. 'Cuz I'm sick of hearing my echo in Dsk. And also because Vina is single?

Why prefix "Cuz" with an apostrophe?

posted by dennisn on July 9th, 2008 at 12:33PM

To indicate the missing letters, "b" and "e".

posted by Driusan on July 9th, 2008 at 7:21PM

Then shouldn't it be 'cuz' with an ' at the end, too?

No. The "cuz" is simply the pr by dennisn on July 9th, 2008 at 10:09PM.

Yep.   Dave and Diana aren't?

Thanks a lot, Vina. Now he's going to be hitting on me and Diana the whole way there too.

Peachy.

As has surely been mentioned before, only your last comment (with a title) is counted as a polled result. One person; one vote.

I noticed.   But I still wanted it noted that that they`ve at least confirmed with me that they are down with the plan.

(Only Subject lines get added to Poll responses.)

It really is a pretty bad poll interface, eh. I tried introducing radio buttons, to facilitate the process, but they were summarily exterminated. I still think they were a good idea (for these kinds of simple yes/no polls, to avoid people writing things like "yeah" and "y" etc) -- maybe with an added text field (with radio button) for a differing poll answer.

At the very least, a small instructory sentence should be placed below each poll. Something like: "Reply directly to this story, and the subject of your message (if any) will automatically be entered into this poll."

-1 for Joseph.

Or maybe have the radio button link automatically to the Post Content form, with the subject already filled. Although this would probably require ugly javascript.

Cool w/me...so, is it Diana/Dave who's driving?   And at what time would the second departure take place?

I'd prefer as early as possible
posted by Driusan on July 7th, 2008 at 8:46AM

My hours are pretty flexible and I can get in early that day.

And I'm willing to split driving if Diana's willing to let a safe driver behind the wheel of her car.

posted by Nylorac on July 7th, 2008 at 9:26AM

I think Diana's planning on leaving her workplace around noon, so I imagine she can then pick you up, then Vina, then head straight onto the highway.

Make sure you all exchange contact info.

I get off at 4:30pm on July 17/08 (my early hour)

I'll see if I can negotiate my schedule with my supervisor.   If I'm allowed to start at 8:30, I'll be able to leave at 3:30.   My office # is 416-862-3923.

It wasn't until yesterday that Diana said that she was going to be working.   (That is, previously, she said that she'd be taking the day off.   I wanted to be fair.)
